Living out of my van after graduating college in 2013, I began selling perfume out of a satchel to tourists along the waterfront of Newport, RI. I decided to make my satchel into a wooden fold-out chair to comfort my surprised customers. I then began successfully selling a briefcase like version of this initial piece of furniture, gaining an award at the Good Festival in 2018 for my product. My expertise as a maker grew at a CNC shop nearby. There I learned to create efficiency in furniture making and helped clients create furniture designs that put them into production. Now I work at an architectural ornamentation shop in Brooklyn, NY, focusing on developing metal cladding, metal cabinetry, and metal ornate fixtures in collaboration with architects around New York City.
